Smile Coffee Werks launches first commercially compostable coffee pods
Smile Coffee Werks has unveiled its first-of-their-kind compostable coffee pods made from renewable raw materials with over a 12 month shelf life.
The pods are compatible with Nespresso classic style coffee makers, as well as being BPI-certified and commercially compostable in 12 weeks. Made from renewable plant-based products, Smile Coffee Werks’ pods are the first carbon neutral, single step disposal product to hit the market.
“Single serve coffee is hugely popular and convenient, but creates tremendous waste to our environment,” commented Michael Sands, co-founder of Smile Coffee Werks.
